The science behind what we do


At GMF we break our training into blocks of 4 weeks, mini boot camps if you like.   In this way you can focus your energies for a short period of time to get a result using our "4 Week Challenge" manual to make a real difference in your life.  You can come for your free trial at any time.  After your free trial you have the option of joining up for an up coming "4 Week Challenge" or joining GMF immediately as a full time member (where the intention is to train for a year although there is no legal agreement to do so as we have no tied in contracts).

Each "4 Week Challenge" starts on a Thursday at 5.45pm with a Fitness Assessment and lasts for 4 weeks, during which we recommend that you train 3 times a week (attending any of the scheduled GMF sessions). 
The challenge ends with another Fitness Assessment, which is optional for year long members but highly recommended for those just signing up with GMF for their first "4 Week Challenge".  After that you'll have the option of joining up for the next "4 Week Challenge" or joining GMF as a full time member

The 4 Week Challenge is designed to give you a focus for your training.  There is no cost to do the challenge unless you decide to up your training with GMF to 3 sessions a week for the month or have a GMF trainer conduct a house visit for nutritional advice or have extra fitness assessment parameters like blood pressure, resting heart rate etc.  All of these we can do at our normal reasonable rates.  However, we wanted to provide a zero cost boost to your training by giving you a reason to stay focused for 4 weeks and so in the "4 Week Challenge" manual suggest some free alternatives to get you a similar result, even if you're not even a GMF member!
